A Tinker Bell room for Victoria

Victoria loves her new Tinker Bell room. Thanks Mom for helping me do the Wallpaper. It turned out so cute. I am painting Mia's room tomorrow, so pictures of that will come soon.

Mia wanted a luau for her party. We decorated flip flops, played a hula hoop relay and had a water balloon fight, then I let everyone sleepover in a tent in the backyard. That wasn't part of the original plan, but they had lots of fun. Her actually birthday was a busy day because she had soccer practice and it was back to school night, but Grandma Mar was here to make it special. Mia got all new bedding for her room and a ring with her birthstone.

Thanks to all you helped make our Utah trip possible. Thanks to all of you who lent us your vehicles, thanks for the dinners mom and dad. Thanks for the ride down south Josh and Brit. As always the best part was seeing all of you and this time especially meeting all our new nieces. They are so adorable. Until next time, love ya!

The reunion was a huge success in my opinion. It was incredibly great to see everyone. I just love how beautiful it is in Kanab. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make it happen. At the reunion I found out that several of you actual do look at my blog so I am going to try harder to keep it updated. I can't wait to do it again in 2012.

The Property

The smores, the foil dinners, the gnomes, the horny toads, crying babies, it was just like I remembered. I am so glad we were able to take the girls so they could have some of the same memories I do. Let's do it again soon. Thanks everyone for making it so fun.

A cold day at the beach, but lots of fun.

Tracy Tritons Championships 2009

Her relay team
Victoria finished out her first swim season on July 25th. She did excellent her first season and improved her times in all her events. Her strongest events were the 50 butterfly with a time of 41 seconds and the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:18. The meets were long and hot but also a lot of fun. We are looking forward to next season and are so proud of you, Victoria.

What am I here for?

You once asked me what our purpose in life was and I think I have figured out yours. Take a good look at this picture and you can easily see the warmth, beauty, and intelligence you emanate. Those qualities are rare to find in just one person and you posses all three and a whole lot more. To be able to fill the room with laughter (red wranglers) to see your child and step children gasp in relief when you get home (were hungry). And of course have a intelligent conversation about science with your husband (the Mexican even though he does not know half the time what you are saying). Sometimes it is right in front of you and you do not notice. You become blind to the fact how important you are to the people that are closest to you. So you have not as of yet cured an incurable disease or become the first women president, or saved the world ( go green R R R), but some day you will and I'll be there to witness this great task. I believe your goal in life is to give back what you have taken. Your biggest asset is yourself and who would not want to be a part of that. I do not know of any one else that can do what you do and what you put up with and still find some happiness in it all. The struggles within yourself and with me to try to make it a better place to be. Your ability to believe in someone and the changes you try to instill on them so they too can benefit from your wisdom is priceless. Even though you don't know the purpose for your existence now it will come to you. Maybe you should reflect back on the past and search your soul for the goodness you have brought to this world. I have the up most respect for you and adore you so much. I would never be in the place where I am now if it wasn't for your support and confidence that I could accomplish anything. When I feel like I do not want to do it anymore I just ask myself how would Joy handle it and continue to do my best. I to struggle to know what is my purpose in life is and what is it all about and can not seem to find the answer but I have come to some conclusion. Life is what you make it out to be. You either choose to grasp it take control of it and bend it to your will or you let life control you and dictate what you should do. I choose to be with you and fight the great fight together. I want to conquer the world side by side so they can all see what I see in you.

Your Loving Husband,

Alvaro Gomez Jr.
